Menahga girls expand lead in PRC standings

Megan Hendrickson's double-double helped the Menahga girls basketball team expand its lead in the Park Region Conference standings with a 67-27 win over Wadena-Deer Creek Thursday night at Wadena.

Hendrickson had 23 points and 14 rebounds to go along with five steals while Alyssa Peterson added 22 points for the Braves, who coasted to the win despite making only 4 of 26 3-point attempts. Cierra Ahlf chipped in 13 points and four assists while Martha Peterson had three assists for Menahga.

The win gave Menahga a 6-0 record in the conference and an 11-0 overall mark while W-DC fell to 4-2 in conference games and 5-8 overall. Sebeka is also 4-2 while New York Mills (3-2), Henning (3-3), Verndale (2-4), Pillager (1-5) and Bertha-Hewitt (0-5) round out the conference standings.
