Kennedy's late goal gives Panthers 1-0 victory

It took Connor Kennedy's goal with 2:09 to play to give the Park Rapids-Menahga-Nevis-Walker-Hackensack-Akeley boys hockey team a 1-0 win over Red Lake Falls Thursday at the Ted O. Johnson Ice Arena.

The Panthers were held scoreless over the first two periods as RLF goalie Wyatt Casavan made 31 saves.

Drew Bade and Luke Jaeger received assists on Kennedy's game-winner as the Panthers held a 19-3 advantage in shots in the third period.

Park Rapids goalie Cody Brumbaugh finished with 21 saves for his third shutout of the season as the Panthers finished with a 50-21 edge in shots.

Park Rapids improved to 5-5-1 against Section 8A opponents and 11-6-3 overall while RLF fell to 0-11 in section play and 3-16 overall.
