Panthers fall to Bemidji, Grand Rapids in openers

Taylor Kimball's tie-breaker win at No. 4 singles provided the only win in 14 matches for the Park Rapids boys tennis team in a season-opening triangular meet at Bemidji Thursday.

Kimball prevailed 10-4 in a third-set tiebreaker in Park Rapids' 6-1 loss to Grand Rapids, which won the other six matches in straight sets.

In a 7-0 loss to Bemidji in the second match, Kyle Dickinson and James Kujawa forced a third-set tiebreaker at No. 2 doubles. Bemidji won the other six matches in straight sets.
