Menahga girls run past Bertha-Hewitt

Megan Hendrickson and Cierra Ahlf recorded double-doubles in leading the Menahga girls basketball team to an 83-14 Park Region Conference victory over Bertha-Hewitt at New York Mills Saturday afternoon.

Hendrickson had 12 points and 15 rebounds while Ahlf had 13 points and 13 rebounds to go along with six steals to lead a balanced attack for the Braves. Alyssa Peterson scored a game-high 24 points to go along with five steals and three assists while Leah Schwartz chipped in 15 points and three assists. Tara Hendrickson also had three assists and led Menahga with eight steals while grabbing seven rebounds.

The Braves, who had 27 steals, improved to 2-0 in the conference and 4-0 overall. B-H fell to 0-2 in conference games and 0-4 overall.
