Letter to Editor: Examples of 'Minnesota Nice'
"Minnesota Nice" is alive and well right here in Park Rapids. On Tuesday, while I was snowblowing my mother's driveway, I found myself looking at the sky. Within seconds, cars stopped to check on me. One very nice lady, who was a nurse, checked to see that I wasn't hurt, and a nice young man also came to help. They both lifted me up and made sure I was all right. You know who you are and I thank you for stopping to help as I'm sure you had other things to do.
Then on Wednesday, my mother was out and fell into some deep snow and our local mail carrier jumped out of this truck to help her; he, too, displaying "Minnesota Nice." You, too, know who you are and again "thank you."
These people displayed the true meaning of "Minnesota Nice"!
