Letter: Read and learn more about conservatives
This is in response to Mr. Purrier’s suggestion in his recent letter in this paper.
If one follows his suggestion of listening to Robert Reich’s progressive "educational and entertaining" clips we find he describes selected social and economic problems with solutions subject to challenge.
Further research reveals Mr. Reich is associated with two non-profit organizations called MoveOn.org and American Prospect. MoveOn.org is a questionable liberal non-profit supported by George Soros and Michael Moore, both wealthy left wing liberals. The mission of American Prospect is to advance liberal goals.
In answer to the request of Mr. Purrier, I suggest he read and understand the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights to learn what conservatives stand for. In addition, to understand the consequences of liberalism and conservatism (socialism and free enterprise) I suggest reading books about economics and political history, reading a variety of newspapers and magazines, listening to conservative talk radio programs, watching several different T.V. networks to become a high information individual.
Venezuela is a current example of what happens to a socialistic country. Also, the most economically depressed and high crime states and cities in the U.S. are and have been under democrat control for years. Russia and China are examples of countries that have failed under socialistic systems and are now regaining their economic strength through a form of free enterprise.
Under our president’s socialistic leadership our economy is depressed, our national debt has doubled, poverty and government aid has increased considerably, Obamacare is a mess, and the list goes on.
Liberalism is programmed to fail eventually while the free enterprise system created the greatest country in the world – the U.S.A.
Conservatism is based on government of the people, by the people, for the people, while liberalism is government for the people by the government.
