Youths suspected in Pioneer Park fire
Two juveniles are suspected of starting the fire on Aug. 19 that damaged one of the public bathrooms at Pioneer Park in Park Rapids.
According to a press release from the Park Rapids Police Department, their investigation and a tip from a community member led police to identify two juvenile suspects.
Charges are pending against both suspects with the Hubbard County Attorney's Office.
Police and Park Rapids Fire Department personnel responded to the park at 6:18 p.m. on Sunday and found a fire in progress inside on of the bathrooms. It was quickly put out, and evidence indicated that the fire was caused by arson. No one was injured in the fire.
