The Cultural Center welcomes "Painters, Inkers, and Tattoo Lines," a unique graphic arts exhibit that is fun and interactive.

On display is the work of Fargo printmaker Troy Becker, St. Cloud painter Adam Spaeth and painters Avery and Amy Nubson of Fargo. This show also features interactive painting opportunities, along with a display of tattoos and their stories from individuals around the state and beyond.

Spaeth was raised in Minnesota and followed his family's footsteps when he joined the Navy. After serving his time honorably, he followed his grandmother and mother's passion in the arts. Creativity and bright colors are the constants in his artwork. The paintings on display in the gallery are delightfully surprising, combining various animals in odd and unexpected ways.

Becker is a New York Mills native and a graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead. He is an illustrator and cartoonist for Forum Communications and an adjunct professor at Minnesota State University in Moorhead. Becker's prints on display at the Cultural Center range from cartoon characters to satirical political cartoons. His screen prints are beautifully done in a style that will remind you of comic books and advertising prints in a bright, bold style.

The Nubsons are a dynamic artistic team currently living in Moorhead. They both graduated with degrees in graphic arts. They are painters, graphic artists and own their own web design business. Their mixed media artwork in the show is Pop Art at its best, featuring Batman of classic comics.

The exhibit will remain on display through Saturday, Sept. 15. Gallery hours are Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Fridays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cultural Center Gallery exhibits are always free to see and open to all.
