2nd Street Stage features Chicago musicians
"The Lucky Dutch" will play American roots and rock 'n roll at 2nd Street Stage at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 27 in Park Rapids.
"The Lucky Dutch" formed in 2008 in Chicago by guitarist Nathan Graham and singer Claire Corriveau. Graham has been performing as a guitarist on the Chicago blues scene since he was 15. Over the years, he has worked with musicians, such as Buddy Guy, BB King and Koko Taylor and has toured extensively with Carl Weatherby. Corriveau has worked consistently as a performing musician since 2008, working with a wide variety of bands.
David Padula has been playing bass since 2006, working in a jazz trio through college before moving to Chicago in 2012.
Ben Dacoba started playing drums at age 15 in Virginia. He draws inspiration from classic rock bands from the '60s and '70s and works as a touring drummer.
Social hour, starts at 5 p.m. with $1 off on a beer and the sponsor ready to meet and greet while you find your spot, listen to the sound check and greet neighbors and friends. And buy a button at the beer garden for $1 off a beer and double prize drawing tickets.
The Park Rapids Downtown Business Association sponsors 2nd Street Stage in partnership with local businesses. This activity is also made possible by the voters of Minnesota, through a grant from the Region 2 Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
