Park Rapids' top singles players and top doubles team were among 25 players named to this year's Mid-State Conference girls tennis team.

Senior Julia Smith and sophomore Natalie Kinkel were named to the 13-member all-conference team while the senior duo of Drew Hilmanowski and Haley MacPherson earned all-conference honorable mention honors.

Park Rapids went 3-3 in conference matches during the regular season, defeating Crosby-Ironton (5-2), Detroit Lakes (6-1) and Wadena-Deer Creek (6-1) while dropping duals to Pequot Lakes (4-3), Perham (4-3) and Staples-Motley (6-1). The Panthers avenged the regular-season loss by defeating Perham 6-1 in a Section 8A quarterfinal match. Park Rapids also took third at the conference tournament with 32 points. Staples-Motley and Pequot Lakes tied for first with 39 points.

In those matches against conference opponents, Smith went 8-2 at No. 1 singles while Kinkel had a 7-2 record at No. 2 singles and a 1-0 record at No. 1 doubles. MacPherson and Hilmanowski teamed up to go 5-3 at No. 1 doubles. MacPherson also went 0-1 at No. 3 singles while Hilmanowski went 1-0 at No. 1 singles and added another win at No. 1 doubles in conference play.
