INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 549 PERHAM - DENT PUBLIC SCHOOLS SCHOOL BOARD SPECIAL MEETING April 10, 2014 On Thursday, April 10, 2014, the special board meeting of the ISD #549 School Board was called to order by Chairperson Myron Roe at 4:30 p.m. at the Perham High School Reach Room. Board members present were Mike Hamann, Myron Roe, Vince Pankonin. Sue Huebsch, and Jim Rieber. Board members absent were Cyndy Huber and Sue Von Ruden. Administrative members present were Superintendent Mitch Anderson and Business Manager Kristi Werner. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present. A motion was made by Hamann and seconded by Pankonin to approve the amended agenda. Motion carried unanimously. New business included discussion on the 2014-15 Early Childhood Programming and Tuition. Principal Hendrickson was asked to research a five(5) day week Kids Adventure program A motion was made by Huebsch and seconded by Pankonin to approve the proposed tuition increase for Kids Adventure as follows: Current Approx. 73% Approx. 60% 2 Half Days/WkFull: $675Reduced: $495Free: $405 4 Half Days/WkFull: $1350Reduced: $990Free: $810 Proposed Annual Tuition for 2014-2015: 2 Half Days/WkFull: $828Reduced: $603Free: $495 4 Half Days/WkFull: $1656Reduced: $1206Free: $990 2 Full Days/WkFull: $1656Reduced: $1206Free: $990 4 Full Days/WkFull: $3285Reduced: $2403Free: $1971 Motion carried unanimously. Member Jim Rieber introduced the Resolution Approving Separation Agreement and Release of All Claims and Resignation of Employee Lana Schultz-Julin and moved its adoption. The motion was duly seconded by Member Sue Huebsch. Voting in favor were Rieber, Hamann, Huebsch, Pankonin and Roe. Voting against were none. Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. There was discussion on PACC lease negotiations. The District Health Insurance Renewal was discussed. A motion was made by Huebsch and seconded by Rieber to seek additional health insurance proposals. Motion carried unanimously.
