Polk County seizes two pot growing operations
Authorities recently seized two marijuana growing operations in eastern Polk County, the Polk County Sheriff's Office reported Wednesday.
A joint investigation between the Pine to Prairie Drug Task Force and the sheriff's office prompted authorities to seize the remains of a growing operation and marijuana from 41511 U.S. Highway 2 in Fosston, Minn., last Wednesday.
Terry Lee West, 66, was arrested at the residence on marijuana manufacturing and sales charges.
Last Friday, officers arrested Adam David Sterry, 27, for marijuana sales and manufacturing charges in connection with West.
The sheriff's office said they seized 19 firearms and 18 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of $139,200.
A separate joint investigation led to the Wednesday arrest of Patrick Shaun Wright, 31, after agencies located remains of a marijuana growing operation and drug paraphernalia in his McIntosh, Minn., residence located at 515 S. Cleveland Ave.
The two growing operations were unrelated, authorities said.
The Grand Forks Narcotics Task Force, East Grand Forks Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol and Minnesota Department of Natural Resources assisted in the ongoing investigations.
