Synthetic pot taken in Moorhead music store heist
MOORHEAD - Police say synthetic marijuana and cash were stolen during a reported armed robbery Tuesday night at Mother's Music store in Moorhead.
Moorhead Police Lt. Tory Jacobson said the victim and owner of the store told police at least one male entered the store's unlocked front door wearing a black knit mask and displaying a handgun.
The victim told police he cooperated with the robber's commands by lying on the floor while the suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and packages of synthetic marijuana labeled as incense, Jacobson said.
A police K-9 unit tried unsuccessfully to track the suspects.
The robbery, which was reported at 10:09 p.m. at 431 Main Ave., remains under investigation.
According to comments on the dispatch log, two men wearing black jackets came into the store, told the clerk to get on the ground, pointed a handgun in his face, smashed a case with a metal pipe and stole items out of the case.
Jacobson said he couldn't confirm all of the comments, including that one of the males told the clerk, "You should have given me a deal earlier."
