Three avoid injury in Marshall County crash
Three people escaped injury in a two-vehicle accident at 5:30 a.m. Thursday in Marshall County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2006 Kia Spectra driven by Jodi Gutterud, 33, of Strandquist, Minn., was southbound on U.S. Highway 59 approaching Marshall County Road 5. A 2001 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Michael Syverson, 19, of Karlstad, Minn., was headed east on County Road 5 and had stopped at the stop sign at Highway 59. Syverson started to turn left onto Highway 59 and ran into Gutterud's vehicle, according to the highway patrol.
Gutterud and the passenger in the Kia, Jennifer Kasprowicz, 35, of Karlstad, along with Syverson were all wearing seatbelts, the patrol said.
Both vehicles sustained moderate damage.
The crash remains under investigation.
