Warroad man drowns in Red Lake River
A Warroad, Minn., man is dead after his body was pulled Sunday afternoon from the Red Lake River, the Red Lake County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.
Nathan Roy Gilbert, 22, was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:55 p.m. Friends told deputies they'd been swimming at the point where the Red Lake and Clearwater rivers join northwest of Red Lake Falls, when Gilbert went underwater at about 4 p.m.
