Park Rapids man sentenced for selling marijuana at 10k festival
Marcus Allen Koester, 22, of 23095 Gunner Drive, Park Rapids has been sentenced in Becker County District Court with felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime - sale.
According to court records, on July 24 private security personnel at the 10,000 Lakes Festival observed him selling marijuana and caught him with 43 baggies of marijuana with a total weight of 240 grams, along with $1,684 in cash.
On April 22, District Judge Peter Irvine issued a stay of adjudication in the case that will lead to a dismissal of the charge if Koester successfully completes five years of supervised probation.
He must serve 30 days in jail and was fined $1,000. He must get a chemical dependency evaluation and submit to random testing.
