Three face charges in F-M in seizure of $250,000 worth of meth

MOORHEAD - Three people have been arrested in connection with the seizure of about 2½ pounds of methamphetamine, police here said Thursday.

The meth has a street value of about $250,000, Moorhead police Lt. Tory Jacobson said in a news release.

Police in Fargo and Moorhead recently arrested Michael Garner, 37, of Fargo; Jada Bahl, 32, of Fargo; and Robert Howard, 59, of Detroit, Jacobson said.

Garner and Howard are being held in the Clay County Jail pending felony drug-dealing charges.

Bahl is jailed in Cass County, where he is charged with possessing methamphetamine with intent to deliver and dealing drugs within 1,000 feet of a school. The charge for delivering a controlled substance near a school is the most serious, a Class AA felony.

The arrests targeted a "significant drug trafficking operation," Jacobson said. The investigation involved drug task forces in Cass County and west-central Minnesota, as well as Fargo and Moorhead police, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, he said.
