Two killed, four injured in Otter Tail County crash

Two people were killed in a head on crash Wednesday in Otter Tail County.

According to the State Patrol, at 6:40 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 108 and County Road 16, a vehicle was traveling southbound in the northbound lane and the oncoming vehicle was unable to avoid the collision. 

The driver, age 34, and frontseat passenger, age 26, in the wrongway vehicle were both killed and two other passengers in the car were injured. The names of the people in that vehicle will be released after family is notified. All four are from Deer Creek.

Two people in the second vehicle were seriously injured. They were identified as Laura Smith, 49, and Grant Smith, 50, of Henning. The couple was taken to St. Cloud Hospital.
