Arrest or arrests made in Hubbard County cabin burglaries
Hubbard County authorities have made an arrest or arrests in a recent rash of cabin burglaries around the Big Mantrap Lake area.
Break-ins were reported in at least eight cabins recently as summer residents opened their cabins for the Minnesota walleye opener last weekend.
Deputies investigated several calls around the County Road 4 area throughout the weekend.
Thursday morning Sheriff Frank Homer said items taken were anything of value - consumer electronics, jewelry and other valuable objects.
Thursday night deputies surrounded a rural Park Rapids home conducting an investigation.
"We were successful," Homer said Friday night, indicating a formal press announcement will be released Sunday.
