Holistic Moms Network forms in Park Rapids

Two new holistic health groups have been formed in Park Rapids.

Nicole Guida and Jill Tate are working to get a Holistic Moms Network up and running. The non-profit organization is nationwide with local chapters around the country.

The Holistic Moms Network is an organization open to members with yearly dues.

Holistic Moms Network encompasses many choices for holistic lifestyles and healers.

Some (although not all) of the topics included in the Holistic Moms Network include: Healthy eating/organic food, alternative/natural health care, breastfeeding, natural childbirth, stress reduction/exercise, informed vaccination decisions, holistic education/home schooling, environmental issues/conservation, infant/toddler sleep issues, attachment parenting and fighting consumerism.

The Holistic Moms Network will meet the second Tuesday of every month from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Itasca Naturopathic Clinic located on Highway 34 East (across the street from Pizza Hut). Children are welcome to attend.

Although the Holistic Moms Network is a membership-based organization, an open house will be Tuesday, April 12 for anyone interested.

For more information, call Guida at 732-5229.

Tanja Larson has started a Park Rapids chapter of Weston A. Price. The group is meeting at 4 p.m. the third Friday of every month at Evergreen Church on Highway 34 about 1 block west of the West Forty.

Weston A. Price meetings are free and open to the public. The group will discuss chronic health issues and how to stay fit and live longer. The group offers encouragement and a place to share experiences.

An unsupervised playroom available at the church for those who need to bring children.

For more information, call Larson at 732-9402.

The Holistic Moms Network and Weston A. Price group will also have a booth at the Energy/Health Expo today (Saturday) at the Century School.
