Testing begins on Armory building
Testing and sampling for potential contaminants and environmental hazards started Monday at the site of the former National Guard Armory in downtown Park Rapids. BRAUN Intertec, of Minneapolis, is working on the project. This is a first step towards evaluating the potential of the property for redevelopment. Funding for this environmental survey and analysis was made possible by a grant from the Minnesota Department of Employment And Economic Development and matching funds provided by local developer Alan Zemek, of Echopoint Design & Development LLC.
