No injuries reported in crash south of Park Rapids
The occupants of two passenger vehicles were uninjured Thursday morning following a rear-end crash on Highway 71 south of Park Rapids.
The crash, near the Piney Park development a mile south of the Lamb-Weston RDO plant, caused some traffic problems on the busy highway as fully loaded potato trucks were entering and exiting the highway.
The accident occurred around 11:30 a.m.
The Park Rapids Police Department responded and requested traffic control from the Hubbard County Sheriff's Department to route vehicles around the scene.
The airbags in the rear vehicle deployed. The vehicle that was struck in the rear sustained heavily damaged. The two female drivers were on cell phones calling for assistance.
