Park Rapids students are ready to start school Tuesday morning after meeting teachers and staff this week.

Bright-eyed students flocked to Century School for an open house Thursday. They met their teachers, saw friends from last spring and signed up for activities ranging from Panther Cub Club to 8th Hour.

Freshmen were invited to orientation Wednesday evening where they learned about high school policies and had a chance to find their classrooms and lockers.

High school principal Jeff Johnson and activities director John Schumacher encouraged students to become involved in extra-curricular activities. They said band, choir, drama, speech, We Decide and other opportunities are available.

Good attendance was stressed and students were told it is key to a good education. After school study help is also available.

Classes begin Tuesday, Sept. 4.
