Weather Forecast

Spring weather is in the near forecast

Mark Anthony

Much of the state has been dealing with windy conditions the past couple of days.

A wind advisory was posted for the area on Thursday into Thursday evening. The winds were out of the west gusting at times to 40 mph. A few flurries fell across the area on Thursday afternoon. High temperatures were about average, but with the windy conditions it certainly felt much cooler. Wind chill values at times made it feel more like five degrees.

Are you ready for some spring weather? It looks like temperatures over the weekend will be in the 50s and possibly even some lower 60s across southern Minnesota. High pressure will continue to keep our weather in-check through the weekend and beyond.

Temperatures on Wednesday should reach the upper 50s and lower 60s with little moisture on the horizon.

Can you say summer-like weather?  At this stage it appears that there is the possibility of some low to mid 70s by Friday of next week. If that does materialize, most of the snow will be long gone and it won't be long until we will have to be mowing our lawns once again. I have had more reports of robins being spotted in the area. Spring is just about here!

By the way, don't forget to turn those clocks ahead one hour this weekend!

Have a great day!
