Jingle Bells gala is tonight

Dig out those tickets. The ninth annual Jingle Bells Sweepstakes gala is tonight at Century School in Park Rapids.

Doors open at 5 p.m. with music, Santa and a supper served by the Chamber Ambassadors as once again, Park Rapids area businesses say, "Happy Holidays" with their support of the $10,000 cash giveaway.

Six lucky Park Rapids area shoppers will win a total of $10,000 in cash via the drawing, which begins at 6 p.m. There will be one $5,000 cash winner plus five $1,000 cash winners.

In addition to the cash prizes, additional drawings will take place for an array of prizes donated by businesses. There will also be a wide selection of door prizes including the giant poinsettias from Hafner's Greenhouse, just for those that attend.

The Park Rapids Chamber Ambassadors' dinner menu includes ham sandwiches, cheesy potato soup and pop for $3 or items may be purchased ala carte. Early Childhood Family Education will once again be selling home baked goodies and other Park Rapids memorabilia.

The dinner price of $3 is possible because of the support of sponsors that include Coborn's Family Foods, J&B Foods, Nei Bottling, Secret Gardens Soup from Midhaven Farms, West 40, Arvig and Citizens National Bank.

The Jingle Bells drawing will be broadcast live on KDKK radio. Winning numbers will be available online at and and in the Park Rapids Enterprise. No numbers can be given out over the telephone. Winners need not be present to win the cash prizes.
