An assessment hearing will be scheduled in October as final details of the project are being completed in the next couple weeks.

"They're still working to make the deadline of Sept. 30," said city engineer Jon Olson.

Construction is nearly complete with just minor work items and clean up on the southern portion left for crews to work on. Striping has been done and light poles were installed on the southern portion of the project.

"Things went very smoothly," Olson said of the overall project.

The final costs are coming in under the anticipated budget by 6 percent. The total cost is $5,194,751.99 while the budget was $5,536,841.73. The assessable share is $1,862,748.84.

Notification will be sent out to property owners once a date is set for the special assessment hearing.
