The Headwaters Intervention Center S.A.F.E. Parks Program, run by Erin Wolter, Head Coordinator, and her assistant Hope Domeier, has many fun, safe and exciting events and activities all summer long.

There are activities throughout the day such as painting, drawing and beading. A weekly scavenger hunt is also held every Friday, with prizes for everyone. The prizes are donated by Pizza Hut and McDonalds.

On Wednesday, July 13, a clown will be appearing at Heartland Park at 2:30 p.m.

July 11-15 there will be a food drive for Make a Difference to Children month.

Every week has its designated theme, such as Fish Week, which will be July 18-22. Supplies will be available for kids to make fishing poles to 'fish' for prizes on Wednesday, July 20.

All funds are provided for by donations from people and local businesses such as the three largest contributors: 3M Wonewok, St. Joseph's Area Health Services and the Youth Drug and Alcohol Task Force.
