Gregory D. Bervig, an eight year MDRT member, was awarded a $2,500 Quality of Life Grant by the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) Foundation for outstanding Community service on behalf of Kinship of the Park Rapids Area.

Kinship of the Park Rapids area is a non-profit organization that provides a preventive program for children by matching them with mature Kinship volunteers capable of providing an appropriate model of positive behavior through friendship.

Bervig presented the check for $2,500 to Kinship Director, Jennifer Therkilsen and Kinship President, Del Holz on April 27. This check will allow Kinship to improve the quality of life for an increased number of children in the Park Rapids area.

The MDRT Foundation's Quality of Life program which was created in 1990, recognizes MDRT members for their community involvement. This year, 26 recipients were selected for the award. A total of $100,000 was donated by the MDRT Foundation to charities in the name of 26 MDRT member volunteers.

The MDRT Foundation was created in 1959 to provide MDRT members with a means to give back to their communities. Since its inception, the Foundation has donated more than $26 million in 80 countries around the world and all 50 US states. The majority of these funds were raised by MDRT members from MDRT members.
