Sebeka woman injured in jump from burning home

A rural Sebeka woman suffered a possible broken leg jumping out of her burning home Saturday morning.

Sebeka firefighters and emergency medical responders were called to the home of Dereck Stockman at 9 a.m. Saturday north of Nimrod. The home was fully engulfed in flames and is a total loss, authorities said.

The family, including three children, all suffered smoke inhalation. It was unknown if they were treated at the scene or transported to Tri - County Hospital in Wadena, where an ambulance crew was headed with the woman.

Sebeka firefighters called out a second crew shortly after the initial call came in.

It was reported the woman jumped from a second story window in the structure to escape the flames.
