Detroit Lakes man sentenced in meth sale

A Detroit Lakes man was sentenced Monday in Becker County District Court on a felony drug charge.

David William Keen, Jr., 28, of 24504 Brainerd Blvd., Detroit Lakes, was charged with fourth degree sale of a controlled substance in connection with an Aug. 23, 2005 incident in Becker County, in which he sold methamphetamine to a confidential informant of the Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force.

An 18-month prison sentence for Keen was stayed on conditions including 15 years of supervised probation, completion of a 338-day jail sentence, payment of $1,088 in fines and $300 in restitution, and completion of a chemical use evaluation and treatment.
