Hubbard County could see weekend snow
A major winter storm is becoming more likely Friday night through Sunday. Snow is expected to develop Friday night and may become heavy at times on Saturday and Sunday. Winds will also increase by Sunday, causing blowing and drifting snow over the entire region. At this point it is too early to pinpoint exact snow accumulations, but travel may become difficult Friday night through Sunday and significant accumulations are possible.
A large storm system will move out of the Colorado Rockies on Friday, then into the Northern Plains by Saturday. This weather system will have abundant Gulf of Mexico and Pacific Ocean moisture available that will fall in the form of snow.
