An Osage man was injured in a one-vehicle accident west of Park Rapids Saturday evening.

The accident, around 6:30 p.m., occurred on Highway 34 east of Osage in Becker County.

It appeared as if the injured man was westbound when his vehicle left the roadway and rolled in the south ditch.

A distraught woman who identified herself as Charlene Vierra, of Osage, arrived on the scene just as emergency medical technicians were strapping the injured man to a spine board. The vehicle he was driving was upright on the edge of a cornfield.

Vierra identified the man as her son-in-law, Curt Brown, also of Osage.

Brown was being treated at the scene.

"I think he's OK," Vierra said, answering a cell phone call from her daughter.

Ambulances from Park Rapids and Detroit Lakes responded. Brown was taken to the waiting Park Rapids ambulance and likely will be transported to St. Joseph's Area Health Services.

The State Patrol called for assistance from the Park Rapids police and Hubbard County Sheriff's Department. Becker County also was paged for assistance.

No other information was available at the scene.
