Darrell E. Sharp

Darrell E. Sharp, 70, of Park Rapids died Monday, June 19, 2006 at Heritage Living Center in Park Rapids.

He was born May 4, 1936 to Francis and Beatrice (Tucker) Sharp in Detroit Lakes. He attended Silver Leaf country school in the Frazee area and Frazee High School. He moved to Michi-gan and worked for the Ford Motor Co.

He married Lois Baker. They moved to the Frazee area. He worked many dif-ferent jobs, including turkey farming, carpentry work, transporting vehicles for Thielen Motors and also managed the Mantrap Campgrounds, north of Park Rapids for many years.

He married Cleo Fell in 1999 and they lived in Park Rapids.

He is survived by his wife, Cleo; four children, Bonnie (Dale) Holmer and Barbara (Ken) Johnson, both of Frazee, Brian (Sandy) of New York Mills and Brenda (Dan) Dulfki of Perham; nine siblings, Richard and Leslie (Linda), both of Frazee, Duane (Jerry), Margarett (Jim) Foster, Mary (Ray) Foster and Fern Aasrude, all of Oregon, Catherine Bachman of Detroit Lakes, Ervin of Colorado and Gordon of Walker; seven stepchildren, Phyllis (Steve) Zurn of Clear Lake, WI, William White and Jerry (Cheryl) White, both of Park Rapids; Robert (Rose) Fell of Bemidji, Lorie (Gene) Brown of Menahga, Richard Fell of Baudette and Roger (Emily) Fell of Pil-lager; 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous stepgrand-children, stepgreat-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a stepdaugh-ter, Rosella Litzau; two stepsons, Thomas White and Anthony Fell; a grandson and stepgrandson.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday, June 22 at Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids with Pastor Russ Paulson officiating. Musical selections will be "Amazing Grace," "It Is No Secret" and "Bridge Over Troubled Water."

Interment: Lake Emma Cemetery near Park Rapids.
