Miss Menahga pageant to be held Friday

The 2017 Miss Menahga and Little Miss Menahga pageant will be held on Friday, July 7 at 7 p.m. at the Menahga School. This year the pageant has a Hollywood theme and will feature a combined opening number to, "The Great Movie Ride-Hooray for Hollywood."

The contestants will participate in an individual interview with the judges earlier in the day where the judges will be able to get to know the contestants. The evening of the pageant the judging will continue with the contestants participating in an opening number, introduction/dress presentation and on-stage interview. Judging will be based on articulation, intelligence, poise, personality and the overall ability of the contestant to represent Menahga for the coming year.

2017 Little Miss Contestants

Abbygail Phelps is the granddaughter of Myrtle Koehnen. She is sponsored by her Grandmother Colleen. Abbygail would like to be a vet when she grows up because she loves animals.

Sophia Reysack is the daughter of Trisha Knapp and Matt Reysack. She is sponsored by her Grandpa Bill Knapp and Park Avenue Salon. Sophia would like to be a veterinarian when she grows up because she wants to help animals.

Isabelle Brockpahler is the daughter of Bradley and Sarah Lusti and Tyler Brockpahler. She is sponsored by Review Messenger. Isabelle would like to be an artist and a singer when she grows up because she loves to color and to sing.

2017 Miss Contestants

Hayley Johnson is the daughter of Mike Johnson and Kim Johnson. She is sponsored by Nordic Tank & Tower, Driveway Service and Carlson Construction. After high school, Hayley plans to pursue a medical career specializing in pediatrics in addition to some overseas travel.

Rebecca Dooley is the daughter of Damon and Jessica Dooley. She is sponsored by permittocarry.org and LegalShield. After high school Rebecca plans to possibly attend Alexandria Technical College for child neuropsychology.
