Menahga man injured in motorcycle crash on Highway 87
A Menahga man suffered life threatening injuries in a motorcycle crash on Highway 87 Sunday, May 28.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, 69-year-old Victor Laney of Menahga was traveling eastbound on Highway 87 near County Road 20 in Hubbard Township when he failed to negotiate a right hand curve. He crossed over the westbound lane and drove off the road.
Laney went into the ditch and was thrown from the motorcycle. He was transported from the scene by North Memorial and taken to a Twin Cities hospital for treatment.
The crash happened just after 7 p.m. on Sunday and the State Patrol says alcohol was involved. Laney was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
