At least two people were being treated at the scene of a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Park Rapids that has seen its share of traffic mishaps.

The driver of a minivan and the driver of a pickup collided at Highway 71 and Hubbard County 15 near the county’s Public Works Building.

Numerous crashes have occurred in that same  intersection on the two major thoroughfares. The crash occurred just after 8:30 a.m.

Neither driver had been transported yet, but two ambulances were standing by.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation has studied the intersection, but determined it does not have sufficient traffic count at this point to warrant a traffic signal.

Both drivers appeared to have sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Both were conscious at the scene. Numerous agencies responded to the crash and helped direct traffic around the vehicles.
