Fish fry raises funds for fishing outing
Organizers of Laporte’s second annual “Take a Kid Fishing” outing are already raising funds for the summer 2012 event. Chuck Troxel manned the fry basket at the Pine Beach Resort and Campground Saturday night. Shawn Benson of Kabekona gets a serving of hot fish. Last year Benson’s husband, Tim, was one of the guides. She said he had such a good time he’ll be back on June 9, 2012, for the second annual.
