Park Rapids All School Reunion underway
The 2010 Park Rapids All School Reunion is in full swing. Saturday morning alumni gathered at Red Bridge Park to watch a flotilla featuring decorated boats from several classes. Martha "Wade" Vaerst, class of 1930, was the grand marshal. Events continue Saturday afternoon through Sunday.

NITE TO UNITE IN PARK RAPIDS, MENAHGA BRINGS OUT LAW ENFORCEMENT FANS
Tuesday night’s Nite to Unite, also called a National Night Out in some cities, was a giant block party in Park Rapids and Menahga. The event was started years ago by community organizers to promote safe cities and bring neighbors together with officers in a partnered crime-prevention effort. Hundreds of people showed up for free burgers and hot dogs, watch K-9 demonstrations and participate in a night of family fun.
