Sunshine Week is March 14-20
Almost 200 years ago, James Madison wrote, “A popular government, without popular information, or the means of acquiring it, is but a prologue to a farce or a tragedy; or, perhaps, both.” His words remain a call to action today.March 10, 2010
Letter: High taxes producing negative impact
A recent editorial in the Feb. 27 Enterprise followed by a letter to the editor in the March 3 paper compel a response. These opinion pieces put forth an unsubstantiated theory that a policy of “no new taxes” is ruining Minnesota.March 06, 2010

Letter: Think global and act local
The phrase “Think global – Act local” is commonly associated with the emergence of the environmental movement in late 1960s and early 1970s, and by the mid 1980s was widely adopted by educational institutions and multinational corporations as a superficial buzz word with which to demonstrate the sophistication of their world understanding. I have not heard the term used much in recent years, probably because it was over used and became a cliché. It might be time for a comeback.
