Marcia Lynn (Johnson) Leidall, 60, passed away peacefully in her home with her family at her side Thursday, Aug. 30, 2010.
Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010 at Deer Creek Lutheran Church, Carpenter, Iowa, with Rev. Gary Gonnerman officiating.
Visitation: 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3 at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar, Iowa.
Burial: will be in First Lutheran Cemetery, St. Ansgar, Iowa.
Marcia was born Nov. 29, 1949 to Emil and Lillian (Robertson) Johnson in Osage, Iowa.
She grew up on a farm west of Otranto, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at Deer Creek Lutheran Church in Carpenter, Iowa. She attended grade school in Otranto, junior high school in Grafton and high school in St. Ansgar. Marcia attended the Mason City School of Cosmetology and graduated with the class of 1968.
Marcia was united in marriage to Terry Leidall Dec. 20, 1968 at Deer Creek Lutheran Church, and they were blessed with the birth of two children, Jason and Kelly.
Marcia worked for the Good Samaritan Center in St. Ansgar, Iowa as a C.N.A/Therapy Aid for over 30 years.
Marcia was a wonderful wife, mother and grandma! Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren grow. Marcia loved vacationing in Northern Minnesota, visiting her sister, fishing the many lakes, sitting around the campfire with her family, and listening to the loons after a good fish fry.
Each of us holds our own precious memory of Marcia in our hearts and she would want every person who touched her life to honor her memory in their own way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Lillian Johnson; grandparents; two brothers, Darrell Johnson and Dennis Johnson; and mother-in-law, LoRetta (Myhre) Leidall.
Marcia is survived by her loving husband, Terry Leidall, St. Ansgar, Iowa; son, Jason (Bridget) Leidall Greenville, Wis.; daughter, Kelly (Chad) Baker, New London, Wis.; grandchildren, Colin Leidall, Ashlee Leidall, Callista Baker, Ryann Baker, Jace Baker; sister, Sharon (John) Goplerud, Park Rapids; brother, Dean Johnson, Phoenix, Ariz.; father-in-law, Paul (Melba) Leidall, Osage, Iowa; brother-in-law, Dennis (Jessica) Leidall, Santa Barbara, Calif.; sisters-in-law Debbie Shouman, Indio, Calif., Tori Lowe, LaQuinta, Calif.; nieces and nephews, Laurie (Kevin) Springer, Kristy (Chuck) Howrey, Darrell Johnson, Mary (Darwin) McKeen, Chris (Dee) Goplerud, Chad (Jessica) Cahill, Nathan Lowe, Jisel Thomas, Olivia Leidall, Conrad Leidall and Piper Leidall.
