Braveheart is one of the radio- collared bears associated with the North American Bear Center in Ely. One of her cubs, who wore a radio collar with fluorescent pink ribbons tied to it, was killed by a hunter last year. Another of Braveheart’s radio-collared cubs was killed by a hunter in 2006.
