Lakes are no place for anglers’ garbage chat

Matt- Thank you so much for taking the time to clean up the lake. If people simply spent 5 minutes diligently picking up their own garbage after each trip, the lakes would be much better off. It's encouraging to hear about people like you who care enough about our lakes to take time that you could otherwise spend fishing to clean up after the "Litter Bugs". -Jason Durham

We took a ride around Portage lake today and all I can say is what is wrong with people? Beer cans chunks of wood to block up the houses and a host of other garbage!! Not as bad as last year but I wonder where is the DNR to enforce the litter laws. We will go back later in the week to pick up up garbage because Im sure more will appear as the snows melts. May its time to pass a law that no one can leave a house out unattended.
