Be prepared for some laughs as Park Rapids Area High School students perform a murder mystery comedy Oct. 23-24.

"You Have the Right to Remain Dead," by Pat Cook, is a murder mystery, audience participation comedy, said high school drama director Julie Kjenaas.

"It's also a play within a play," she said.

Students will have two performances at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 23-24.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for kids.

Students began rehearsing after school in early September.

"It's been nice working with the cast," said Anthony Schmid, stage manager. "Everyone's having a lot of fun."

Many of the cast members play at least two characters during the play. The audience should be ready to participate and be part of the play.

Student cast members include Mark Bravo, Carsonlee Christenson, Melodie Englund, Nathan Gebhard, Jacob Grimes, Alana McKeever, Benjamin Pilkey, Emily Schwartz and Luke Swenson.

Technical crew members include Jordyn Bynum, Conner Decker, Savanna Deitchler, Jason Dennis, Rachel Fineday, Jacob Froelich, Joshua Johnson, Katherine Johnson, Nathanya Jones, Bailey Moore, Thong Phan, Anthony Schmid, Natasha Shabaiash, Amanda Splittstoesser, Miranda Stickney and Paul Swanstrom.
