Kinship is looking for teams to enter the third annual Amazing Chase set for Saturday, Aug. 16.

Kinship of the Park Rapids Area organizes the event to support youth mentoring.

Gather a team of four to six friends, family or coworkers and find sponsors for the $250 registration fee. Registration forms are online until Aug. 13.

The first place team wins a $500 prize.

Each year, the event has included varying team challenges.

Last year, 10 teams set off across Park Rapids on some adventures. The participants found themselves attempting to fingerprint “suspects” while wearing the Law Enforcement Center’s “drunk” goggles, counting leeches, completing the fire department’s obstacle course and other challenges.

New challenges await participants this year.

Team check-in is at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16 at Heartland Park. A shotgun start is at 2 p.m. with the final event at 4 p.m. at Heartland Park. Awards and snacks are given out after the final event.

Keystone sponsors include Citizens National Bank, CHI St. Joseph’s Health, Wolff and Simon Real Estate, Park Rapids Ford and Thielen Motors.
