There’s a new mayor in Dorset.

Two-term mayor Bobby Tufts lost his re-election bid Sunday afternoon at the annual Taste of Dorset festival.

Before drawing a name from a bucket to find the next mayor, the 5-year-old said he was ready to let someone else be mayor.

When asked what he did during the last year, he replied, “Lots of fun stuff.”

He also raised money for the Ronald McDonald House in Fargo.

This little guy, although short in stature, became an international sensation after a video went viral in 2012 after the Governor’s Fishing Opener.

Bobby drew the name of the next mayor, 16-year-old Eric Mueller. It looks like the next mayor will continue to keep ice

cream at the top of the food pyramid (as Bobby claimed).

It was announced that Eric had the record at Companeros Mexican Restaurant in Dorset for eating the most fried ice cream.

The 2014 Taste of Dorset also pleased the palates of many with favorites such as the spaghetti ball and cheese curds to new fare, including poutine (a Canadian French fry dish).

Companeros employees also organized a flash mob in the middle of the street with a line dance.

What will next year bring?
