The 2014 Nevis Pig Races had some closes races but a few porkers came out on top.

“We are estimating over 2,000 in attendance for both races. Biggest show ever,” said Dave McCurnin, pig race host.

He noted that PFC Grunt beat Espresso in the grudge match this year.

In the political races, Mike McFadden won over Sen. Al Franken and Rep. Steve Green won over David Sobieski.

Governor Mark Dayton lost to the field of other candidates, according to McCurnin.
