In addition to the excellent and superior ratings at the solo contest, eight solos were awarded "best of site."

Park Rapids vocal entries brought home four of those.

Students who were awarded a "best of site" were Grace Bateman, Missi Haas, Sam Goebel, Bobbie Gully. Grace and Missi also received perfect 40/40 scores.

At the recent section ensemble contest there were seven "best of site" awards given to vocal groups, with PR receiving four of those.

Awarded "best of site" were a vocal duet of Tyler Barr and Leah Meinert, the senior mixed ensemble, the junior mixed ensemble, and bards-supersized men's ensemble.

Also to be recognized is Tyler Barr and Leah Meinert for acceptance into all-state choral organizations.

Tyler auditioned for and was accepted into the Minnesota All-State Men's Choir for the 2010-2011 school year. Over 2400 students throughout the state audition for a place in the all-state performing groups.

The choir recently made their second and final appearance in Orchestra Hall, Minneapolis. Both Tyler and Leah were accepted into the All-State Lutheran Choir which toured in June 2010.

"Congratulations to all of our Park Rapids vocal entries on the hard work, effort and resulting awards," Dierkhising said.
