Northern Light Opera to celebrate a decade of musical entertainment

The NLOC 10th anniversary concert will be a celebration of 10 years of Northern Light Opera Company productions Saturday, Sept. 24.

Singers will be returning to the Park Rapids Area High School auditorium stage to reprise highlights from all of NLOC's productions:

"Trial by Jury" (2002);

"Pirates of Penzance" (2003);

"Ruddigore" (2004);

"Amahl and the Night Visitors" (2004);

"The Mikado" (2005);

"Oliver!" (2006);

"Oklahoma!" (2007);

"Into the Woods" (2008);

"Fiddler on the Roof "(2009);

"Godspell" (2010);

"The Old Maid and the Thief" (2010), and

"The Music Man" (2011).

Those returning to be a part of the program are: Joyce and Mark Manning, Thom Peterson, Andrew Leshovsky, Shanna Perry, Aaron Kjenaas, Brian Donovan, Linnea Englestad Lindstrom, James Lalley, Stacy Christiansen, Gail Haller, Julie Kaiser, Laurie Moe, Alex Kuester, David Overly, John Peterson, Mary Maxwell, Mark Fulfs and Brinn Krabbenhoft.

NLOC stage director, Lisa Dove, will be coming from New York City to meet and visit with all the returning NLOC stage talent.

Come to hear great music sung by great talent, renew acquaintances, and celebrate the progress of the Northern Light Opera Company in pictures and song.

No tickets will be sold, however, there will be an opportunity to make a freewill contribution (tax deductible) to the Northern Light Opera Company.

The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 at the Park Rapids Area High School auditorium, 401 Huntsinger Avenue, Park Rapids.
