"4ontheFloor" will deliver rock 'n roll and stompin' blues at 2nd Street Stage at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10.
Their concert follows Legends & Logging Days Water Wars on Main Street.
The band's album, "All In," showcases their roots in blues and the immediacy of post-pop punk with the hooks and sing-a-longs you'd find in all the best road trip anthems. Frontman Gabriel Douglas doesn't write stuff he can't play and he doesn't play stuff he doesn't mean. Being on the road plays a large role in the writing for this record. Douglas writes about experiences, failures, successes, and not so much the what-could-have-beens.
Area businesses are hosting a social hour, starting at 5 p.m. with $1 off on a beer and the sponsor ready to meet and greet while you find your spot, listen to the sound check and greet neighbors and friends. And buy a button at the beer garden for $1 off a beer and double prize drawing tickets.
The Park Rapids Downtown Business Association sponsors 2nd Street Stage in partnership with local businesses. This activity is also made possible by the voters of Minnesota, through a grant from the Region 2 Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
Celebrate summer Thursday evenings through Aug. 17 with free music, a beer garden and family activities in Downtown Park Rapids. Bring your own chairs.
