Long Lake Theater opens with "Moon Over Buffalo"
Long Lake Theater announces its 16th season's debut, "Moon Over Buffalo."
This farce is a classic comedy set in Buffalo, New York in 1953. The action and dialogue are fast-paced, as the characters are constantly bickering or frantically trying to resolve some confusion.
"I saw this show about 10 years ago at the Paul Bunyan Playhouse in Bemidji. It's a riot! What an honor to have it staged at our theater!" says Bruce Bolton, Long Lake Theatre manager. "Much of the cast and the director, Vicki Stenerson, is back for this encore performance."
Vision Theatre, a theater company and the creation of veteran actress Julie Kaiser and longtime friend Jennifer Geraedts, is working in collaboration with Long Lake Theater to bring this popular production to the stage once again.
Kaiser, in addition to co-producing the show, plays a starring role in the production, as she did a decade ago.
Performances are Thursdays through Saturdays, from June 8 through July 1. Tickets are available at 732-0099, at Beagle and Wolf Books in Park Rapids or online at longlaketheater.com.
